Bexorg is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to own the firmware, electronics, and real-time control behind BrainEx, the world’s first system to perfuse intact human brains through their native vasculature with proprietary synthetic blood. In this on-site role in New Haven, CT, you’ll write production C/C++ firmware and Python supervisory and tooling software, design and bring up custom sensor and actuator electronics, tune closed-loop control of cerebral blood flow, pressure, pH, dissolved gases, temperature, hemofiltration, and drug dosing, and design and machine the fluidic hardware those loops run on. We want a true generalist: deep C/C++ and Python skill, real controls and fluidic or process-control experience, CAD fluency in SolidWorks or Onshape, and hands-on comfort with 3D printing and CNC machining; experience on advanced CNC platforms is a strong plus. You’ll work hand-in-hand with surgeons, perfusionists, software engineers, and drug discovery scientists at a well-funded TechBio company using donated human brains to discover therapeutics for neurodegenerative disease, and you’ll mentor junior engineers while doing it.
